Hero’s Heart

Silently he admired her, looking at her like he met her in another life time.

He’s heart wounded by his past life

He’s soul longing for her love

His eyes filled with wonder as he pretends not to be weakened by her smile.

He, frail beyond his own recognition, lays his heart in her palm

She notices his broken soul through his eyes

Wanting to make him live again she smiles

His eyes filled with wonder as he pretends not to be weakened by her psalm.

He, hero’s heart strong enough to hold his shattered world together

He holds the missing peace to many’s happiness

Yet chooses to share it with her, as

His eyes fill with wonder as he pretends not to be weakened as a branch in cold weather.

Tortured by his weakness for her

He wishes her heart to be reset to belong to his

He’s heart wounded by his past experiences,

Silently he admires her, looking at her like he met her in another life time.
